| ASCO/ONS Highlights 2011 summarized the major research and treatment advancements presented at this year’s ONS Congress and ASCO Annual Meeting. The program focused on breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecological,and lung cancers as well as hematological malignancies. The faculty placed these developments in context as to their immediate clinical utility. The meeting took place on Saturday, August 27th, at The Claremont Resort in Oakland.
Target Audience
ASCO/ONS Highlights 2011 was designed to meet the educational needs of oncologists, oncology nurses, oncology pharmacists, and other health-care professionals involved in the care of people with cancer.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants were able to:
• Review, summarize, and interpret new advances and implement changes in the treatment of breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecological, and lung cancers and hematological malignancies presented at the 2011 ASCO Annual Meeting.
• Review, summarize, and interpret new advances and implement changes in oncology nursing presented at the 2011 ONS Congress.
